District Time Trial Championships

Click on the images to enlarge them.

Our team put on the District Time Trial Championships. I was only able to get a few photos. Once the first rider was off I didn't get a chance to get my camera out again. It was a successful event with no accidents or heat related sicknesses. It's a real achievement for a team as young as ours to be able to put on a Championship event. Thanks to all of the folks that volunteered and worked so hard to make it all happen. Jim Martin took on all of the planning and organization for this event and did a fantastic job. Several members of our team were able to race the event, and some of them brought home the GOLD!

36 North Triathlon at Tanglewood Today

Team members Charley, Chris and Pat tore it up at the 36 North Triathlon today. The results haven't been posted yet, but the way I understand it they finished as follows; Pat 1st place in masters, Charley 2nd place overall in Women and Chris was third in his age group with a very high placing overall. I'll update the results after they are posted. Before the event Charley told me she hadn't raced a tri in over two years. Congratulations to all three. Great job!!!

BMX Practice Tonight

I got in a good road bike ride before work today. This evening I decided to just have fun by going to BMX practice at Tanglewood. It was a lot of fun, but hot!

This is how you start when riding BMX. Not as easy as it looks.

A Fun Afternoon on my Cross Bike

This afternoon was great for riding my Cross Bike. If I could only have one bicycle, this is the one I would choose. With a quick switch of wheels it works great as a road bike. Tanglewood is my favorite place to ride this bike. Besides being close to my house it offers a verity of surfaces to ride on: gravel roads, paved roads, single track trails, wide horse trails, sandy trails and lots of grass fields. A fun day riding a bicycle.
Some sections are super fast. Other sections are fun but require you to pay more attention.

Sharing the trails with horses.

Sunday group ride - Rockford.

Got in a good 58 mile group ride today from Lewisville. Rockford is a ride I used to do years ago on a regular basis. Today brought back lots of memories.
